How To Stop Automatic Software Update For Your BB 10 Phones

Lovely weekend pals... Yesterday we discussed how to make your BlackBerry 10 phones use normal data subscription... if you missed it click here... Today we will be discussing on more ways of saving data on your BlackBerry 10 device...
One of the data consuming service is the Automatic Software Update... it attempts to update the Operating System of your phone to a higher one over wifi and Network... the least size for this update is 1.0GB (and u know say na like 200 mb sub u dey do ba!)... so the result is... your data is zapped and your phone isn't updated (You lose!!!!)... Here's how to turn off the Auto Update.

Step 1: Go to the notifications bar of your phone and click on 'Settings'

Step 2: Scroll down and click on 'Software Updates'

Step 3: Click on the Setting icon located below

Step 4: Toggle the 'Automatically Download and Install Software' to off

With these simple steps you will no longer be charged for software update instead the latest software will be sent to you and you can choose to update or not... at your free will... till we meet again...

How To Make Your BB10 Phones Use Normal Data Subscription

Many of us use the BlackBerry OS 10 phones and some of us are stuck with the high BlackBerry 10 subscription fees by glo... Good News!! you can now take advantage of the cheap data plans now available (especially glo)... by following d steps listed below to change your phone's apn (and it can be easily reversed)... so u eat your cake and have it... #GbaWink

Step 1: Go to the notifications bar of your phone and 'Mobile Network'

Step 2: Click on the Setting icon located below

Step 3: Change the Access Point Name from 'blackberry.net' to 'gloflat'
                 Change the Username and password to 'web'
                 Change the Authentication type to 'Chap'

Step 4: Click Save

Now you can browse with your glo data without subscribing for the BlackBerry plan, change the APN back to 'blackberry.net', erase the username and password to reverse the process
